In some cases, it might be helpful to set the initial Element abundances (Elements.in) as a function of x and z (2D). One example could be some carbon depletion or enhancement in the upper layers of the disk (caused by whatever physical process).

It is not possible to do that directly in ProDiMo. But one can provide a file Elements2D.in that ProDiMo tells how to manipulate the initial elemental abundances. How to create such a file is described in this example Jupyter notebook (part of prodimpoy documentation).
