N2 shielding¶

Atomic hydrogen, molecular hydrogen, N2 can shield N2 from photodissociation. The shielding factors are interpolated in ProDiMo from the work of Li et al. (2013 : [http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2013A%26A...555A..14L]). The data are taken from the Leiden photodissociation database [http://home.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~ewine/photo/]. Please cite the original papers. The effects should be clearly seen in nitrogen-bearing species (N2, CN, HCN, ...)
